University Rotaract Clubs Raises Money to Provide Disaster Relief
Members of Sheperd University’s Rotaract Club took many initiatives to raise money for ShelterBox this past year. Thanks to their amazing efforts, two families will have somewhere to live after a disaster strikes. They collected funds by working concession stands at their college’s sporting events, volunteering at other Rotary events, and holding bake sales. The Sheperdstown Rotary also donated $1,000 to their project so that they could buy another box. They are currently challenging the members of Boston University’s Rotaract Club to raise $500 and whoever raises the money first gets to put their name on the box. A little friendly competition didn’t ever hurt anyone, but rather it is helping us provide aid around the world to those in need.
